Anne Sallee Mason practices in the areas of estate planning (including Wills, Trusts, Durable Powers of Attorney, Health Care Directives and Powers of Attorney, and Elder Law), probate administration (including decedent’s estates, guardianships, and conservatorships), and trust administration. Anne has over thirty (30) years’ experience in these areas and has served as chair of the firm’s internal probate and estate planning committee as well as the local bar association Probate and Trust Committee.
Anne earned her bachelor’s degree from William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri, graduating magna cum laude, and attended law school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City in Kansas City, Missouri. Following law school, Anne served as a clerk for Judge Douglas W. Greene of the Missouri Court of Appeals, Southern District for two (2) years, following which she joined Neale & Newman in 1989. Anne become the firm’s first female partner in 1993. She took a six (6) year break from private practice to work as in house counsel for two (2) local bank trust departments gaining significant experience in trust administration. Upon returning to her Neale & Newman home, Anne applied and incorporated this first-hand knowledge of trust administration to her drafting of trusts and other estate planning documents as well as to the advice given to clients.
Raised in Ava, Missouri, Anne is very proud of her Southwest Missouri roots and corresponding values. She has stayed true to these family and community values, being involved in numerous not for profit organizations and volunteering many hours every year to community betterment and helping others. Anne is married and has one college aged child. Having had coaches for parents, Anne is an avid sports fan. Her current favorite team is the Baylor University Bears, where her son attends college.
